  • What do I need to bring to my Immigration Medical Exam (IME)?
    You must bring one of the following identification documents: Original Passport (preferred document) National Identification Card Canadian driver’s License Refugee Protection Claimant Document, Refugee Travel Document Copy of Passport Certified by a Canadian Visa Office Red Cross Travel Document, UN Laissez-passer Your document must be original and valid ​ You must also bring the following: Any forms or letters received from the IRCC. All your prescription medications. Must bring all significant medical reports. Eye glasses or contacts - if you wear them. Covid vaccine records if available.   • How does my Immigration Medical Exam (IME) report get submitted to the government?
    The Ottawa immigration Clinic will send the results to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada on your behalf when your medical exam is complete within 5 - 10 business days.

  • What if I have a pre-existing medical condition?
    Pre-existing medical conditions should be reported and will be evaluated during the examination. It's important to disclose any existing health conditions, and our medical professionals will provide guidance on how these conditions may affect your immigration process.
  • Are all exam requirements done at the clinic?
    Yes. All exam tests including X-rays and blood tests are done at the same location.
  • Can I obtain a copy of my Immigration Medical Exam (IME) record?
    You may order a copy of your complete Immigration Medical Exam with a fee of $20.
  • How much does the Immigration Medical Exam cost?

  • Is walk-in service available?
    Yes. We accept walk-in patients.
  • Can family members be examined together?
    Yes. Family members can be examined together.
  • May I have a family member or friend come with me to my appointment?
    Yes, patients are welcome to have a chaperone, family member, or friend to their medical exam appointment for support and comfort.
  • What languages are spoken at the clinic?
    English, French, Arabic and Spanish.
  • Is there parking available at the clinic?
    Paid parking is available in the Azzi Medical Center parking lot using the Indigo Neo App. Free parking is available on side streets (Check each street for instructions).
  • Do I need to fast before my Medical Exam?
    No. You do NOT need to fast.
  • What are The Ottawa Immigration Clinic's office hours?
    Monday to Thursday: 8:30 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Friday: 8:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday & Sunday: Closed.
  • What payment methods are accepted?
    Payment methods accepted are cash and debit.
